I See London I See France…

One week from today I’ll be traveling overseas with my best friend.

The Euro-Kink-Tour-Sextravaganza will be under way!

Maybe I’m overselling it.

The plan is to land in London the morning of August 8th, take the chunnel to Paris the morning of August 11th and fly back home on the 15th.

I’ve been looking and looking for kink events in both London and Paris. It’s difficult to tell what clubs are the clubs to go to in Paris since I don’t speak the language but it seems the scene in both places is much more active.

We’ll be checking out the London Fetish Fair, possibly the Festival Of Sins and hopefully a few other events in London (recommendations please!). Coffee, Cake & Kink was rumored to have been closed down but it appears to still be open. I’ve found a few event calendars and I actually have to choose between events since there are a number of options. Now I know why people from Europe will look at the New York scene and say “This is it?”.

The goal is to go to some kink related event every night. Hopefully the exchange rate won’t screw me over so much that it prevents me from getting screwed.

Paris is the tough one. I’ve been told the best thing to do is to go to a few kink stores and just ask what clubs are the best to go to.

If you or anyone you know can offer a few good suggestions of places to go people to see for socializing in either London or Paris then feel free to comment or email me. (Email address is in the facebook profile on the right).

I’m sure I’ll be posting updates while on vacation.

Anyone know of some good places to go/see/do that aren’t covered in the usual travel guides? Sure getting torn to shreds by a woman with a French or English accent would be great but I’m more than happy with some good conversation as well.

Wait, are you saying you think there is going to be more kink in London or Paris than in _New York_? I don’t want to rain on your parade, axe, and I surely hope you have a mind-blowing (heh) time, but . . . I have never been to a city with nightlife like New York’s, and from everything I have heard on all my travels from all my expat friends, you’d need to try Berlin, Tokyo, maybe Hong Kong, to find anything as deviant, as up-all-night, as gritty.

I just hope you don’t come back all crushed because you were in Europe and you didn’t get whupped, when you could come back happy ’cause you were in Europe. 🙂 Have a terrific time, and here’s hoping for the whupping!

Oh and but, now that I think of it–I have had sex in both London and Paris, but never in New York. Damn. Freaky.

I look forward to your reports when you get back. I will be in London later in the year and am expecting a little fun while I ‘m there.

You see London, you see France…do you think we can see axe in his underpants? Or not.

Have a great trip, hope you fall on to someone curvey with a whip. 🙂

Club Domina in London on the Sunday you are there is supposed to be very decadent – anything goes type thing. The Fetish Fair is good and I think there is an after party?

Make sure you go and check out some of the fetish shops on the Holloway Road!

Have a great time

Sera: The kink scene is very different from the nightlife scene in NYC.

Pineapple: Thanks! I’ve never heard of that one. I do plan on going to the Fetish Fair on Sunday however.

Excellent point; kink does not equal dance part-ay or art-house-movie-marathon. 😉

All I can say, as someone who lives in London and travels to NYC frequently, is that London really does have a much better fetish club scene that NY. That said, you have to get the dates right otherwise your screwed. Also a lot of after-parties where we party through Sunday and try to sleep it off for Monday!

But Paris.. well not much going on there usually. There are a few big events such as Nuit-Domina but generally it is a very underground scene and you need to know people to get there.
